Here’s a few snaps from Stephanie and Jeremy’s engagement session! They brought the coolest photo prop I’ve seen yet: their airplane! Jeremy’s a pilot, so they flew in to Lakeway Airpark to hang out with me for an evening. Super excited for their wedding at the Hangar Hotel next month!

I was lucky (or creepy) enough to be hiding behind a tree when Chris proposed to Arleen, so I was thrilled to be able to shoot their engagement photos as well. We hit South Austin with cowboy boots and a teeny tiny puppy, and the sweet couple was nothing short of adorable. Their laughter and silliness are two of my favorite things about my dear friends, and are traits that I’m certain will serve them well in their new marriage. Congratulations, Chris and Arleen!

A few weeks ago, my friend Chris approached me about photographing his proposal to his girlfriend (and my other dear friend) Arleen. So we hatched a plot to get Arleen on board with a couples session “to help fill out my portfolio”. Poor Chris sweated it out while I dragged them around Town Lake, and after we wrapped, he pulled Arleen aside and got down on one knee… I’m so happy for my friends, and even happier that I got to be a part of a day they will remember forever. Love y’all!

I’ve had the distinct pleasure of knowing Katie for 15 years. As my sister’s best friend, she is like a sister to me too. I’ve known her through braces and breakups… but until Ben came along, I’ve never known her face to light up the way it does when she looks up at him and smiles.

Not long after I moved to Austin, I had the pleasure of meeting a charming little Kiwi girl named Ella Jane. Not long after that, she got engaged to her equally adorable counterpart, Nick. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my new friends during the beginning stages of their wedding plans, and am thrilled and honored to be their photographer.

Their engagement session was out of the ordinary, to say the least. We began at the deliciously morbid “Til Death Do Us Part” mural and then walked down to their favorite bar for some Grasshoppers and pool while we waited for the sun to set. Ella Jane came to me with the brilliant idea to take our shoot down to the carnival — a setting that turned out to be as hilarious and unique as the couple in front of the camera. It was by far my favorite shoot this year, and I can’t wait for our follow-up session with their puppy!
