Holly and Rich | Austin Wedding Photography

I am positive that every one of my friends is tired of hearing about how much I loved this wedding. But it was just so amazing, I literally can’t stop talking about it. Holly DIY’ed the heck out of her gorgeous brunch affair, with thoughtful and unique details that beautifully created the theme of the wedding: adventure. The motif was perfect not only for the travel-bugged couple, but also for the concept of marriage in and of itself.  Beneath the trees of Cedar Bend, Holly and Rich gathered with an intimate group of family and friends, and their dog, Stella, to embark on their biggest adventure yet.  Bon voyage!

Sneak Peek: The Ryden Pups (& People, too) | Austin Family Photography

A few shots from a furry family session at Walnut Creek Park with my human friends, Dawn and Kevin. I don’t often have more than one pet in front of my camera, so I learned a lot from this particular shoot! Major takeaways: 1) Walnut Creek Park is an awesome location, even post-rockslide; 2) Dogs and two-year-olds have very similar attention spans; and 3) When photographing pups, bring an extra pair of hands.. and treats. Lots of them.

My Best Friend’s Wedding

My oldest friend, Dorian, and the love of her life, Griffin, tied the knot in front of a small group of friends (and Elvis!)  in fabulous Las Vegas.  It was a hilarious, beautiful weekend full of surprises — from Dorian’s mom making a surprise appearance, to the best man donning an Elvis costume at the reception.  The amount of girly eye candy at this wedding was ridiculous! From her fabulous vintage gold sparkly wedding dress, to the glittering reception in the Chandelier Lounge of the Cosmopolitan Hotel (literally, IN the chandelier… I died). Dorian was absolutely the most stunning bride I’ve ever seen (ok, I’m biased) and she and Griffin showed everyone a fantastic time in one of my favorite spots on Earth! Viva Las Vegas!
