Alissa & Davis Rock the Boat

You know that old saying "In life, sometimes you are the canoe, and sometimes you're the lake"? ... No? Well I just made it up. Alissa and Davis had planned an adorable Lake Austin engagement session in a red canoe. We had been out on the lake for all of 10 minutes when I instructed them to change poses... and watched in horror as they flipped over and capsized! Luckily for me, they were lighthearted and easy going about it. We decided to reschedule, but not before taking advantage of the situation at hand. The shots we got in their wet clothes are by far some of my favorite images ever! I'll tell you one thing, this job is full of surprises! And I'm so grateful to my clients who make the best of a slippery situation.
